The Haitian Alliance to assist The Carter Center in effort to eliminate malaria and lymphatic filiriasis in Haiti and the Dominican Republic

The Carter Center has a long history of involvement with Haiti and the Dominican Republic, but only recently began efforts to help fight disease on the island of Hispaniola. The Carter Center is very excited about the new opportunity to work across borders between these two great nations to combat malaria and lymphatic filariasis. In this effort, The Carter Center has requested the assistance of the Haitian Alliance to help expand our informational reach in the Haitian Diaspora regarding The Carter Center-assisted efforts to target malaria in two towns joined by a bridge over the Massacre River: Dajabón, Dominican Republic and Ouanaminthe, Haiti and malaria and lymphatic filariasis in Trou-du-Nord, Haiti.
