In the wake of the January 12th earthquake that struck Haiti, the Haiti Disaster Relief Project (HDRP) team set out to collect, ship, distribute and report on the most urgent of needs of the men, women and children in Haiti, thousands of whom were left homeless, injured and without the most basic necessities. Thanks to the rapid response and tremendous outpouring of support from the Atlanta community and beyond, the HDRP was able to send its first shipment and delegation to Haiti within less than 2 weeks, delivering food, clothing, baby formula, diapers and medical supplies to several neighborhoods and hospitals in Port-au-Prince.
On March 31, 2010, The Haitian Alliance completed its participation in the HDRP. Click below for a detailed financial report on the project.
